What's new

v1.7.5 — NEW: dedicated 'Kiosk' role for shared attendance tablets. Admin → User Management → Add User → pick role 'Kiosk Device' to create a non-expiring login that ONLY opens the face-scan attendance screen. They can't reach the dashboard, settings or anything else — even if they tap the URL. Their session never expires, so leave them logged in on the tablet permanently.
v1.7.4 — CRITICAL FIX: the v1.7.3 APK was pointing at the developer preview backend instead of factoryart.in, which is why login failed on the phone (the production password didn't exist on that sandbox). v1.7.4 is built with the correct production URL — please reinstall.
v1.7.4 — NEW: Admins can reset another user's password from User Management → tap the amber 'Reset Pwd' button on any user card. Sets a new password directly and logs out all of that user's active sessions, so a forgotten password no longer means deleting + recreating the user.
v1.7.3 — NEW: HR Module is now full-featured — Leaves (apply / approve / reject with note), Payroll (auto-computed gross / deductions / net pay per employee per month with advances, cuttings and bonus), Performance Notes on every employee (praise / warning / note), and an Org Chart that draws itself from the new 'Reports to' field on each employee.
v1.7.3 — NEW: Payslip delivery is multi-channel — pick Resend, plain SMTP, or Twilio WhatsApp at send-time, with a per-tenant Notifications dialog to paste in your API keys (secrets are masked, never echoed back). Tick 'AI warm tone' and Claude Sonnet 4.5 writes a personalised 60-80 word message; toggle it off for a plain template. Editable preview + Regenerate before you hit Send.
v1.7.3 — NEW: 'Approve everything' button on the HR header clears every pending leave + attendance day in one click on payroll morning. Tab-level 'Approve all N pending' buttons inside Leaves and Pending Approvals for finer control.
v1.7.3 — NEW: HR Customer Book now pulls its customer list and KPIs LIVE from your Tally sync — Sundry Debtors (and any extra group you configure in HR → Notifications → Tally Source). Per-employee rollup shows real bills count, business volume, cash received, closing balance, overdue + days late, and last bill date — straight from tally_day_book + tally_outstandings, with zero reads from the in-app customer master.
v1.7.3 — FIX: HR sidebar item is now visible for Admins and HR Managers (was being hidden by an over-strict permission check in v1.7.2).
v1.7.2 — FIX: 'Can't access the main menu on the phone' — the desktop sidebar layout was kicking in too early (at 768px+) so phones held in landscape lost the hamburger and bottom tab bar. The mobile drawer + bottom tabs now stay visible up to 1024px, so the menu is always one tap away on every phone in either orientation.
v1.7.2 — IMPROVED: Face enrollment is now a real multi-frame scan instead of a single photo. The dialog captures 6 high-quality SSD MobileNet v1 frames over ~4 seconds and asks you to gently turn your head left / right / up / down, then averages the 128-d descriptors into a much more robust face fingerprint. Live progress bar + pulsing emerald ring shows exactly what's happening.
v1.7.2 — IMPROVED: Top bar 'Menu' button now has a clear text label next to the hamburger icon on tablets so users don't miss it.
v1.7.1 — FIX: 'What's new' widget + Android APK download CTA are back on the Overview dashboard (they got orphaned when the new shell rolled out in v1.7.0).
v1.7.1 — IMPROVED: Face Clock-In recognises faces a lot more reliably. Enrollment now uses the heavier SSD MobileNet v1 detector so the saved face fingerprint is computed from a sharper detection, and the live scanner sees you from further away (input size 320 → 416). Backend also drops obviously-wrong candidates (distance > 0.75) so the operator never has to pick the right person out of a noisy list.
v1.7.1 — FIX: Management role no longer sees 'Failed to load analytics data' — the Analytics dashboard is now visible to admin, production AND management.

v1.6.2 — FIX: Face scan (real root cause) — on production the proxy returned the SPA index.html fallback for every model shard file because they had no file extension. Renamed all shards to *.bin and updated the manifests. Face Clock-In + face verify now work on https://factoryart.in too.
v1.6.1 — FIX: Face scan ('tensor should have 8192 values but has N') — old PWA installs cached partial model shards which then broke face-api.js permanently. Now the service worker never caches /models/*, and any pre-existing poisoned cache is auto-evicted on app startup. Reinstall or reload to recover.
v1.6.0 — NEW: Factory Floor module — shared-device face-scan clock-in for daily-wage workers who don't have their own logins. Manager scans worker's face → top-3 match picker → clock-in/out. End-of-day 'Confirm All' wraps up the roster.
